These Terms of Use apply to your use of Minha Economia (minhaeconomia.com, “the site”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

What the site provides

The site publishes free knitting patterns, guides and tutorials about hand-knitted hats for general information and personal enjoyment. We work to keep the instructions clear and accurate, but we do not guarantee that every pattern is free of errors or that you will get a particular size, fit or result by following it. Yarn, needles and individual tension vary, so yardage and finished measurements are estimates.

Safety

Knitting is a low-risk craft, but the projects on the site use pointed needles, tapestry needles, scissors and small items such as stitch markers. Use tools with care and keep them out of the reach of young children. Pom-poms, buttons and other attachments can come loose and are a choking hazard for babies and small children; leave them off hats made for children under three, and never leave a baby to sleep in a hat. Follow the care instructions on your yarn label, and check the fiber content if the wearer has sensitive skin. You are responsible for deciding whether a project is suitable for you or for a child in your care.

Using our content

Unless stated otherwise, the text, illustrations and design of the site belong to Minha Economia. You are welcome to:

  • read, print and use the guides for personal, classroom, library or other non-commercial purposes;
  • share a link to any page;
  • quote short passages with a clear credit and a link back to the original page.

Please do not republish whole articles or illustrations, sell them, or present them as your own work without written permission.

You may knit hats from our patterns for yourself, as gifts or for charity. Standard stitches and techniques such as ribbing, stockinette and common decreases belong to no one, and anyone is free to use them. Our rights relate to our own written instructions and illustrations, not to the techniques themselves.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site. This includes attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfering with how the site works, sending spam or unlawful content through the contact form, or copying the site in bulk by automated means beyond what is needed for normal search engine indexing.

The site links to third-party websites that we think are useful, such as craft standards organizations and museums. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, Minha Economia is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from following its guides.
